Peter is a 5th year PhD student working on computational methods for identifying nuclear materials which may be hidden inside cargo containers. His research centers around dual energy radiography systems, which use two photon beams with different energy spectra to predict the material composition of X-ray images of cargo containers. Before coming to MIT, Peter received his B.A. in physics with a minor in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019. Peter is also a recipient of the Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (CSGF).
